Reserve, companies in Aronas pagasts

Arona parish is located in the central part of the Vidzeme highlands - in the territory of Madona district. The total area of the Arona municipality is 149 km2 and has a population of 1587 inhabitants. In the territory of the parish there are specially protected natural areas, which are included in the protected areas of European importance "Natura 2000" in a network of objects: nature reserve "Nesaules kalns", nature park "Gaiziņkalns", Vestienas Protected landscape area. The largest settlements in the territory of the parish are Kusa - 686 inhabitants and Lautere - 160 inhabitants.
