Granite blocks are imported from Sweden, Karelia or Finland, where they are obtained from quarries in rocky areas. The climate of these countries is similar to our climate, as a result of which the stone is able to live in our climate. More about the granite itself: it is a crystalline rock composed of feldspars( 40-50%), quartz( 25-30%) and non-ferrous minerals( up to 15%), is one of the most common types of stone. Types: potassium feldspar granite( normal granite), plagioclase granite 9plagiogranite) and alkaline granite. Has a massive texture. A distinction is made between igneous granites, which arose during the crystallization of magma, and metamorphic granites, which arose during the granitization process of metamorphic rocks. Granite is characterized by high frost resistance, low water absorption, high resistance to weathering and can be well finished, sanded and polished. The color of granite is rich from dark black, red, greenish, mottled, gray to very light and even crystalline. Black granite monuments will be the most suitable for engraving, because on them you can best see the engraving, which is very contrasting: Dark black granite headstone and light gray engraving.
