LBS is good at filling complex-shaped voids, pipelines, annular spaces and restricted access areas, where mechanical laying of traditional material, high-quality compaction or construction of separate supporting structures is difficult, time-consuming or practically ineffective. After hardening, LBS forms a homogeneous, stable and controllable fill with significantly less self-weight than traditional mineral fills or conventional concrete. The main advantage of LBS is not one isolated property, but a combination of properties: low weight, good flowability, fast application, application without compaction, controllable strength, reduced load on the soil and structures, minimal mechanical impact during application and clearly verifiable quality.
